United Nations Coordination Office
The United Nations Coordination (UNC) Office is the designated representative of the Secretary-General and the head of the UN Country Team. The UNC assumes, on behalf of and in consultation with the UN agencies represented in the country, overall responsibility for, as well as coordination of the operational activities for the development of the UN system at the country-level.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the UNC Office:
- Advocacy for the UN System;
- Operational Coordination;
- Management Coordination;
- Humanitarian and Emergency Assistance; and
- Annual Reporting, Appraisal and Hiatus Arrangements
The UNC reports to the Secretary-General through the UNDP Administrator, designated by the Secretary-General to manage and fund the Resident Coordinator System.
Dr. Jacqueline Badcock is the Resident Coordinator in the Philippines.

The UNC Office Team in the Philippines
In the Philippines, the UNC Office Team is composed of a Coordination Analyst, a Coordination Associate, two Coordination Assistants and a National MDG Campaign and Adovoacy Specialist.
It also includes staff from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and UN Information Centre.
